Scarborough Baptist Church Ministries
We are involved in the following ministries. Each of these ministries is run from the church building unless otherwise stated.
Sunday morning worship – 10am all age worship service. Please see other pages on this site to find out more about who Scarborough Baptist Church are. All year-round. Times may differ for special services at Christmas and Easter.
Kidszone – Children’s programme which runs during the morning service in school term time.
Teenzone – High School programme which runs during the morning service in school term time.
Bible study groups – We run a number of small groups that study the Bible together. Please contact the church to find a suitable group for you.
Missions – SBC has a dedicated Missions committee who are passionate about seeing and enabling the gospel to reach people from various cultural backgrounds both overseas and at home.
Church Community Services
1. Mentoring of children at Scarborough Primary School – A number of our members go into Scarborough Primary School to mentor students each week. This ministry has a long history. Our older folk team up with a youngster and try to help them along life’s tough pathways.
2. Sundays @ Six –This is an outreach service for the local community and international travellers and students. An opportunity to share a meal together and to hear the story of God breaking into the world in the person of Jesus Christ for all people from every walk of life and background. A free meal begins at 6pm followed by a short service. All year round.
3. Lark Refreshment Centre – Lark is a refreshment centre at the church which is open Tuesdays to Saturdays for people from the community to relax and for parents, their children and older folk to enjoy some time in our nature playground, under our umbrellas in the garden or at the tables in the church atrium.

4. Craft group – Outreach to anyone who would love to share a morning of arts and crafts with a time of Christian devotion. This group also produces a significant amount of infant clothing and other crafts for developing nations overseas. Every Tuesday morning during school term-time from 9.30am.
5. Mainly music – A music and dance programme for pre-school children that aims to share the Christian faith in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Every Thursday morning
